Hi!
We are Angie and Ron, the passionate owners, creators, and founders behind Forever Home Sanctuary, a local Vernon rescue and sanctuary dedicated to farm animals (and humans too 😉)!
Our unwavering mission is to provide a loving, safe, and nurturing environment for abused, neglected, and displaced farm animals. From goats and sheep to ducks, chickens, pigs, and donkeys, our goal is to offer each animal a Forever Home where they can thrive.
At the heart of our vision lies the creation of a farm animal sanctuary that not only cares for these beautiful creatures but also advocates on their behalf. We strive to foster a healing and bonding environment between humans and farm animals, fostering a deep connection that transcends misunderstanding.
Farm animals possess a unique ability to touch our hearts and heal our souls in magical ways. Thus, the need for a safe haven where abused and neglected animals can find solace is profound. Additionally, we aim to educate the community about farm animals, fostering greater understanding and compassion.
In our pursuit to make the world a better place for generations to come, we recognize that collaboration is key. We cannot achieve this vision alone. So, we invite you to join us on this heartfelt journey to create a better world for animals and humans alike. ❤️
xoxo

Meet Naomi, the compassionate and kind-hearted human that we are so lucky to have as a Director on our board of Forever Home Sanctuary Society.
With a magical touch when it comes to animals, she brings boundless love and care to every creature under her watch.
Beyond her role at the sanctuary, Naomi's diverse talents and passions paint a captivating picture of her character. By day, she is the West Region Retail Staffing Team lead for Home Depot. But that is just the beginning of her magical journey; she is also a certified reiki healer, channeling healing energy to bring comfort and restoration to both animals and people alike. Additionally, she holds the title of a certified reflexologist, harnessing the power of touch to promote well-being and balance in those around her.
Through her multifaceted talents and unwavering dedication to animal welfare, Naomi has truly made an indelible mark on the Forever Home Sanctuary Society. Her efforts in creating a safe haven for abused, neglected, and displaced farm animals have touched the lives of our residents, ensuring they find the love and care they deserve.
Naomi's unique blend of leadership, compassion, and magical healing abilities makes her a force to be reckoned with in the animal welfare community. As she continues to lead and advocate for these majestic beings, she leaves a lasting impact on all who have the privilege of knowing her.
We are thrilled to announce that Desta has joined the board of directors at Forever Home Sanctuary. Desta has been a dedicated volunteer for over a year, bringing her passion and commitment to every task. Residing in Vernon, she often volunteers alongside her daughter, instilling a love for animals and community service in the next generation.
Desta's dedication to animal welfare extends beyond our sanctuary. She and her daughter recently spent time volunteering at the Costa Rica Rescue Centre, gaining invaluable experience and insight into animal rescue and rehabilitation.
When she's not volunteering, Desta enjoys camping and the great outdoors, embracing the natural world she works so hard to protect. Professionally, she excels as an office manager for the Vernon Teachers Association, demonstrating her organizational skills and leadership.
Desta's passion for animals and her advocacy for their well-being make her an invaluable addition to our team. We are incredibly fortunate to have her on board and look forward to the positive impact she will continue to make at Forever Home Sanctuary.
We are delighted to welcome Dana to our board of directors at Forever Home Sanctuary. Dana brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in horse care, having owned horses in the past and volunteered extensively with them. Her expertise and passion for these majestic animals have been invaluable to our sanctuary.
Dana has been a dedicated volunteer at Forever Home Sanctuary for over a year, consistently demonstrating her commitment to our mission. As the branch manager for Scotiabank in Vernon, she showcases her strong leadership and organizational skills, which greatly benefit our team.
Originally from the coast, Dana moved to Vernon and we feel truly fortunate that she chose to volunteer with us. An outdoor enthusiast, Dana enjoys spending her free time with her two beloved border collies, who keep her active and inspired.
Her biggest passion at the sanctuary is scooping horse poop, a testament to her hands-on approach and dedication. Dana's love for animals and her advocacy for their welfare make her a perfect fit for our board. We are incredibly lucky to have her and look forward to the continued positive impact she will make at Forever Home Sanctuary.
